How iCal import works
Checkin Vacacional lets you connect iCal calendars from platforms such as Airbnb, Booking, VRBO, Avaibook and other compatible tools. This way you can import your bookings more easily and keep them available in your dashboard.
What is iCal
A shared calendar standard
iCal is a calendar format that many booking platforms use to share check-in and check-out dates. It is used to import bookings and avoid entering every date manually.
Compatible platforms
Connect the iCal of your favourite platform
If the platform allows you to export an iCal link, you can connect it with Checkin Vacacional.
Airbnb
Import booking dates from Airbnb's iCal calendar.
Booking
Connect the Booking iCal calendar if your account or property allows exporting it.
VRBO
Compatible with iCal calendars exported from VRBO.
Avaibook
Use the Avaibook iCal link to import your bookings into Checkin Vacacional.
Other platforms
Works with any platform that lets you copy an iCal calendar link.
Imported data
What information iCal brings and what it does not
iCal import brings basic booking data. The guest's personal data is completed later in the dashboard or from the registration link.
What is imported
- Check-in and check-out dates
- Booking reference or code (depending on the platform)
- Calendar blocks marked by the host
Important: data that is not imported
Booking platforms usually do not share all guest personal data via iCal. For privacy reasons, you will normally need to fill in manually:
- Number of guests
- Booking holder data
- Phone or email if the platform does not include them
- Data required for the contract or mandatory communication
This is not a Checkin Vacacional failure: it is a normal limitation of the iCal system and each platform's privacy policy.
Step by step
How to set up iCal

Copy the iCal link from your booking platform
Log in to Airbnb, Booking, VRBO, Avaibook or your platform and look for the calendar export or iCal link option. Copy the
.icsURL. - 02Step 02
Access Checkin Vacacional
Open your Checkin Vacacional dashboard and open the accommodation you want to connect the calendar to.

Paste the iCal link
Add the iCal link in the accommodation settings or in the section to import bookings and save the changes.

Review imported bookings
Check that the dates have been imported correctly and complete the missing data (guests, holder, contact, etc.).

Send the booking and generate the guest link
Follow the usual Checkin Vacacional flow: send the booking, get the link, share it with guests and send the traveller report to SES Hospedajes when appropriate.
Important notice about SES Hospedajes
Importing a booking via iCal does NOT mean that the booking is automatically reported to SES Hospedajes.
After importing the booking, review the information, complete the necessary data and follow the submission flow from Checkin Vacacional. You can check the platform usage guide, the SES Hospedajes questions or the help centre. To learn about every available option, visit the features page.
